| The bridge between the Business Park and Chiswick Park station will be in place for at least 5 years before the District-Piccadilly switch so there will be plenty of time to see if it does actually reduce overcrowding at Gunnersbury. Chiswick Park would be the least used station on the Ealing or Heathrow branches of the Piccadilly line (other than Cockfosters at the other end of the line) so to save a bit of time for the Heathrow services, I can see the Ealing branch switching to the District line tracks and stopping at Chiswick Park while the Heathrow trains pass through Chiswick Park on the Piccadilly line tracks. |
