| The zone boundary is another reason why Chiswick Park is relatively lightly used. I know of people who will walk 5 or ten minutes more to get to Turnham Green so they don't have to pay for zone 3. From Turnham Green it would make no sense to go back to Ealing Broadway to get Crossrail. If you add another 2 minutes to the journey time to get to Ealing, and take 2 minutes off the journey time into London then you would just go into London from Turnham Green. At Chiswick Park, it might make sense for a handful of destinations that are right on top of a Crossrail station like Tottenham Court road, where you would have to take two trains anyway. |
