| Joe, there are currently points just East of Hammersmith, and just East of Acton Town. There is no way to switch between the Piccadilly and District line track in between. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that they will put in points West of Turnham Green. They probably won't want to run Piccadilly line trains along the District line the whole way, and a lot of the District line trains that currently go to Ealing Broadway will be diverted to Richmond so they should be able to keep a good District line frequency at Ravenscourt Park and Stamford Brook without needing to stop the Piccadilly line trains. They will still have to run some District line trains to Ealing because they stable at Ealing Common Depot, but if they do modify the platform heights for Piccadilly line trains, then they may run them empty. |
