| The O&Ds on Crossrail are likely to be quite complex. I travel to the Barbican on Monday evenings and my journey time door to door can vary by as much as an hour, but is usually about 90 minutes including interchange and waiting time. I reckon on about 60 mins from Turnham Green to Moorgate, via Hammersmith on a good day. I come home via Bank because it is quicker in the evening and that takes between 45 and 60 mins. Crossrail are currently promising journey times of 16 minutes between Ealing Broadway and Farringdon. Taking into account the other elements of the journey, that would still mean an almost 50% reduction in my journey time. What I would like to know, is what influence BAA have had on the Piccadilly line service at Turnham Green. |
