The IPCC has a good degree of consensus (not 100% agreement) about the probabilities of particular activities leading to observed phenomena. At 90% (I assume this is the right figure) there is still a 10% gap from certainty. I feel the same way Pascal thought about god (i.e. that is was a better bet to believe than not believe) about human activity causing climate change. Having said that I am a dyed in the wool atheist. |
