Henry, GM crops take a while to devleope and in the last ten years, the R and D spend has dropped dramatically. The time delay in getting yelds and hardiness back up to where it should be to help arrest the affects of global warming is quite a bit one. Also there is the added complication of trying to hit a moving target, if it takes five years to get the crops up to scratch for now in that five years the eco system has moved on. The concept that technology with solve the problems that technology created is not foolish unless you start too look at the time scales involved. Also IPCC is not science fiction and was created despite of politics, in fact politics toned it down much to the annoyance of much in the scientific community. Science and politics should not meet except for politicians to learn from science. You carry on as you are, you be right. I'd rather be correct. |
