Fraser, Picking the bones of your message you appear to attack the messenger and not the message. All articles realated to global warming will have lots of precautionary language in it, in fact that's true for science in general. This is because science is not about absolutes. That covers most of it. If you want absolutes then you'll need religion. If I come across as a alarmist it's because of the apparant misunderstanding of to topic by some of the folks around here. Global warming is happening and it is man made, read any scientific investigation into global warming and you'll get the same message. To say global warming is not man made now is ignorance and there's no excuse for it. The IPCC report is not the only source and my 'hyperbole' is just a way of trying to get people wake up from their 'don't want to hear' mind set and do their own homework, even if it's to prove me wrong. To be honest you making points about 90% rather than 95% is really really missing the point. It reminds me of creationists who where obsessed with Darwin's work. Science is not religion - it has no bible and there is no one source of information on global warming, that's what makes it real. |
