James here http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/services/waste_and_recycling/townmead_road/townmead_road_waste_and_recycling_charging_policy.htm and http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/services/waste_and_recycling/townmead_road/site_rules_for_townmead_road.htm and http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/services/waste_and_recycling/townmead_road.htm and most specifically for your case http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/services/waste_and_recycling/townmead_road/townmead_road-garden_waste.htm This last link states that "residents can recycle green garden waste for free...." It is reasonable to assume this means residents of WLWA and is not exclusive to Richmond. As I have stated earlier though, if you have genuine waste that qualifies but are denied by an over zealous site manager incapable of interpreting his own employers rules then you are scuppered. This is not likely to be resolved until fly tipping becomes so prevalent in the adjoining boroughs that LBH (and others) will have to decide if spending the money to support the dump is worth the cost and thus jeapordise the site completely. As for the payment method if someone at that site ever denied me the right to legitimately deposit waste that qualified for free disposal but suggest that decision could be reversed if I were to hand my card over to make a payment I would be extremely suspicious - this is a prime opportunity to skim your card details. maybe I am just over cynical |
