Chris, firstly brilliant in finding that webpage. I have not seen it before and no-one from WLWA, inc the MD, nor Richmond, nor John Todd, has directed me there. But secondly, the weak link with what is says is the word "residents". Is this just residents of the borough whose website this is, or residents within WLWA? It doesn't say. It is after all a Richmond website and not a WLWA website. What I can tell you is that I am a resident not of Richmond but of Hounslow and it is because I am a resident of Hounslow that Townmead turned me away. So whilst your link initially looked reassuring, on deeper inspection it does not give me comfort; in fact the opposite. All this matter needs, but only if it is true, is for someone in authority at Richmond to say yes, Hounslow private, non-business, residents can use Richmond's Townmead facilities free of charge. Seemingly no-one can bring themselves to do it. I find this hugely disappointing. |
