Can someone tell me where the boundary line lies between Richmond and Hounslow councils- specifically as it involves Kew Bridge? As I walked across this morning I saw quite a few Lime bikes heading towards the High Road (one positively bowling along down the slope which was being ridden by a chap whom I am 90% sure was Gary Lineker). I assume that once the Lime bikes cross the boundary line some sort of disabling cuts in which must come as a surprise to the rider the first time it happens. On my way back I picked up a hire bike from the bottom of the stairs on Thames Road. There was only one Voi so I went for the Forest offering of which there were plenty. Unfortunately the first two I tried failed to complete the hiring process for unspecified " computer says no" reasons. Hopefully this isn't a general problem otherwise having two-thirds of the bikes immobile is a pretty high failure rate. Anyway the bike I took was fine and seemed to me lighter and much more responsive than the Limes. (If anyone sees Gary, please let him know he was going far too fast.) |
