" It doesn't take any knowledge of the criminal mind - nor any mind capable of basic arithmetic in fact - to recognise that its probably not the best use of tax payers money to have squads of policeman hanging around at 4.am. On the off-chance someone may set off a car alarm or be seen to be acting suspiciously. (Only to run off once they're approached) While you don't exactly need to be Albert Einsten to work out that if the police did happen to be particularly short-handed at any particular time say at 4.00 a.m on this particular morning, or were already out on another job, they're hardly likely to be broadcasting that fact to any member of the public who just happened to phone them up at that particular moment. michael adams ... |
