| So the general consensus appear to be that the Metropolitan Police should should mobilise all available units at 5.30 a.m if there's any danger that the owner of a white Range Rover who hasn't taken out extra cover is in danger of losing their no claims bonus. And assuming its not covered by their insurance of having to fork out for a taxi to get to work for a couple of days. I'm no apologist for the police for which I could countless examples - https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jul/17/it-was-humiliating-police-apologise-for-handcuffing-undressed-student-in-raid but I do believe there are limits to what might reasonably be expected, given that manpower needs to be kept in reserve for genuine emergencies more especially at 5.30 a.m. michael adams |
