| Several of us went to the demo organised by Wyke Green and Osterley Residents Assn. to support their opposition against the Tesco/Homebase development last Friday outside the Holiday Inn, Brentford. Inside there was a jolly going on for the council, chamber of commerce and developers, and guess what? The police were there - not because of any raucous behaviour you understand. I would think most people there were north of 40 years old - but of course the great and the good were inside, and we all know how important they are. God forbid, these people might engage with the local residents. |
