| I thought 80s music was rubbish at the time, but with the benefit of hindsight I think I formed that opinion because it was being played a lot ( obviously, it was the 80s) and so you heard the dross as well as the good stuff. Some artists who made it big in the 80's ( and yes, I know some of them had already released stuff in the 70's) Madonna, Duran Duran, The Smiths, Kate Bush, Stone Roses, REM, Talk Talk, The Police, Tears for Fears, U2. And gigs were still louder in the 80s than they are now, I remember leaving plenty of concerts where it took a couple of hours for my hearing to go back to normal. |
