So Lenny Kravitz is not coming to Gunnersbury Park any more after the Waterworks Festival pulled out. I wouldn't be surprised if the Soho House Festival gets moved elsewhere or cancelled. I can hear events taking place in Gunnersbury and sometimes the noise is annoying and I'm sure, if you live close, these concerts are a pain. However, people need to think back to what Gunnersbury Park was like before it attracted new investment. As I understand it, much of the grant revenue received is dependent on the CIC generating revenue sources of its own so there is a potential double whammy. When the park was really on its uppers there was talk of giving over part of it for development or turning the buildings into a school - nobody wants to go back to that time but that may be where we are heading unless this year is just a blip.
