| It is perhaps worth reminding people that the park is huge - walking around its perimeter is a 5km journey. I have visited numerous times when set up or dismantling is taken place for an event and been able to enjoy the park. The days during which it completely unusable are limited. The CIC may have mishandled communications and the way it dealt with its neighbours but at the same time there are a group of people living near the park would veto every large scale event planned so I don't think anything could have been done to placate them. Without funding from these events, the park will revert how it was over a decade ago - scruffy, neglected and down at heal with a cash strapped council eyeing bits of it for development. |
