| Multiple missed opportunities to close the gap on what the council was licencing and the NIMY's demanding- epic. fail from the council in not getting ahead of this. Waterworks has relocated to The Cause in Canning Town for a 36-hour continuous party -they wont be back nor will any other significant events The NIMBYism here reeks- whether youve been in the area for 1, 10 or 30 + years, you have the comforts and exclusive access to a beautiful park around the corner for 300 odd days a year. It's not " your " park though, is it !? Its an amenity that should be accessible for the whole community (and ...gosh, also from outside the community) . The existing licencing was easily strong enough - music-off at 10.30 AIR I imagine most of these NIMBY's were enjoying the burgeoning musical genres of the 60's and 70's/80's in their youth - loud music, listening to stuff and doing things that their parents hadnt and didnt approve of ...hypocrites the lot of 'em |
