| The organisers didn't blame the council specifically rather pointed out that the event couldn't proceed without planning permission. That appears to have been delayed by a combination of the licence review initiated by residents' groups and the purdah period during the election. There is no way permission can be given until the next planning meeting which will be in June at the earliest. None of this is the council's fault and, as they may be now called on to bail out the CIC, they will have done all they could to avoid this happening. Whether the residents' groups deliberately timed the review to ensure the summer programme was wiped out, only they could tell you. |
