Why do the 5 million a year walking across Hammersmith Bridge have priority in keeping dry? Three times as many cross Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Surely covered walkways there are a higher priority? It's good that Adrian has raised this "real world" issue. If only £250m is going to be spent on keeping as many people as dry as possible, we're going to have to make some hard decisions. I'm afraid London may well end up losing out to Manchester in any case! |
