Will Norman wouldn't know a pedestrian improvement if it bit him in the ass.

When I cycled with him and Ruth Cadbury, RUth pointed out a raised pedestrain crossing creating a speed bump of sorts as a side street intersected with a main road. Hammersmith has some prior to all this mess and now Chiswick has the "new and improved" version which is worse than what Ruth was banging on about. The one by Netheravon floods. Ooops. All that money and trail and error and still didn't learn. Then you have the new chamfered edge at the curbstone which is a tripping hazard. One doesn't expect that edge to go missing an yet it does. And the stupid hump edging between the cycle way and pavement meant to do what exactly? CS6 has a sinmple, elegant solution that works for the hordes of pedestrians in the center of town. Surely, surely, it would apply out here in W4. It has square corners as you'd expect. So another new risk to pedestrian safety. Good luck out there, folks.
