Thanks for that. Strangely Google Streetview didn't give me the latest map when I looked first but now it is there.

See what you mean about access to the Cycleway from SotG. A bit of shared pavement here would be very useful. The poor linkages for cyclists along the route which this typifies are probably a result of budget constraints and a desire to avoid 'mission creep'.

I agree with every point you make. I also now habitually use Goldhawk Road rather than CHR as it is far quicker with progress on the latter now painfully slow.

The design priorities of the cycleway appear to have changed as it originally was a 'superhighway' that would have allowed cycle commute times superior to public transport or cars. Now its primary purpose is safety with the aim of encouraging inexperienced cyclists. Just because it is not built for us doesn't mean it is a bad idea though.
