The relocation of GSK and Sega has led to a significant reduction in the potential for a work place levy in the area so it may no longer be viable.

This is a shame because a rail link could have been transformative in the area. Although Michael may be able to quote research that claims to show better public transport doesn't reduce car use I don't think that has led to that view becoming part of the decision making process which still accepts the received opinion that if you give drivers a good alternative some of them will use it. Hopefully other ways will be investigated to resurrect the scheme although in the current hostile environment for transport spending in London this seems unlikely.

Please to see the Cycleway 9 extension may be getting funding in the latest government package for TfL. As it is 'shovel ready' are the designs available anywhere? I'd be very interested to see how they have dealt with the pinch points on Kew Bridge Road and Brentford High Street.
