Its good to see from Michael's last post that we can now talk about improvements in public transport, not just cycle lanes. A train link to the Elizabeth line would be great, but TFL likely to be subject to cuts year on year under the current govnt so dont expect any new investment.

We can I think also agree that commuters driving into London and the heart of Chiswick (1500 spaces at the business park) is not a good thing? A tax on these spaces to fund public transport would be excellent, maybe at a London wide level. Despite pushing LTNs and claiming to want to reduce car use, LBH approved 500 match day spaces at the business park. Something that was not part of the stadium planning application. We also have LBE and Sainsburys offering spaces to commuters, so hugely undermining CPZs. Can we agree that as a minimum it would be nice to see a consistent policy approach from the boroughs, rather than the current complete contradictory stuff?

It would be informative to have air quality monitoring on the High Road by the business park or on Sutton Court Road by the A4. Now that traffic has been diverted away from central Chiswick we may then get a better view of the impact.
