I'd suggest that it needs a regulatory sign (red circle) to actually ban vehicles rather than a warning sign (red triangle). SatNavs generally won't have warning signs in the algorithms they use for routes while they will have regulatory signs. The SatNav companies won't change their routing algorithm unless there is official signage in place. Signage is available to ban vehicles based upon weight, length and width. Suggestion would be to contact traffic@hounslow.gov.uk and photos of large vehicles in the streets would help make the point. |
