Can I just explain why there is the sudden attention to "trans" in the last few years. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-document-that-reveals-the-remarkable-tactics-of-trans-lobbyists Stonewall lost its "purpose" when the Same Sex Marriage Act was passed in 2014, and was looking around for a new cause to champion. They alighted on "trans" as a new "oppressed minority", but they did no research into the lobbyists. In 2019 they received £8M of income, mainly from Gov, but also from "partner" public bodies, companies, firms large and small for writing their "Equalities policy" with an erroneous definition of a "trans umbrella" which goes wildly (!) beyond the definition in the Gender Recognition Act s25: "“gender dysphoria” means the disorder variously referred to as gender dysphoria, gender identity disorder and transsexualism" and beyond the Equality Act 2010 "gender reassignment". Stonewall was and still is trying to get "gender self-identification" into UK law, which they do by "gas-lighting": repeating and repeating something wrong to everyone, but continuing to do this until everyone just gives in because they think "Oh, it only affects a tiny minority". But it doesn't just affect a "tiny minority" as we now realise: women's spaces are under attack because of the tax-payer funded activity of Stonewall.
