I for one, Una, am saddened by anyone who considers those not dead straight on the sexuality spectrum as having a mental disorder. Scratch that. It enrages me. It should enrage anyone of broad mind and heart. You do yourself and your cause a disservice. Your argument assumes these people, these incredible people who happen to be trans, are somehow simply not worthy. Of anything. But you deem yourself worthy of pity. I will now type anything to avoid saying something unworthy of a public forum. But the thought occurs... I did have a read of the Transwidow site. There are exactly three stories told, all from the identical point of view. They strike me as angry, incapable of tolerance and in need of blaming someone and/or anything for such narrow minded thinking. It is the very definition of an echo chamber. And round and round and round it goes. Never does it go inward to explore your anger and pain rather it hates and blames partners for simply being who they are and were let alone having the presence of mind to pursue that truth. You are free to cite as much research as you want. You are free to believe it. But what you reap you sow and you are busy scattering seeds of hatred and rejection. Clearly that is a bitter crop. Odd that at the same time you are begging to be embraced. |
