| I note that Cllr Biddolph has shifted her position from insisting that the cycle plans would increase pollution to now merely “failing to address pollution”. It is good that she seems to concede that she was wrong. It is a pity that it took so long and I assume there won’t be a retraction of the incorrect and misleading information previously posted in leaflets through people’s doors. By the way, TfL pollution analysis assumes no change in how people travel in order to establish a baseline for comparison. This is a standard approach to avoid more variables. Therefore every person using CW9 instead of a polluting mode of transport will be reducing pollution. I trust that Cllr Biddolph will be encouraging as many people as possible to cycle on CW9 when it is built. Perhaps even Cllr Biddolph herself will buy a bike and cycle around the area. Of course the irony is, the more wrong Cllr Biddolph is, the better it will be for Chiswick. |
