| Got two. Young architect (friend of family). His firm has won a major (for them) and long-term project in Eire. So they are opening an Irish office to be sure (to be sure!) they can continue to service it. Also, the Irish office will be able to pitch for business tendered in the European journal. Unsure if post article 50 they will be able to do that from London. Net result. UK loses revenue. Old buddy, works in the Treasury at a senior level. Has been head-hunted at a much better salary by a big law firm to be - in all probability - contracted back to UK government as a break-up negotiator. |
