"Have you only got one because they think that you are all one property?" We received individual letters to each flat advising that we would be getting wheelie bins. When the rest of the road received theirs we did not, so with a helpful nudge from Sam Hearn, Naomi Markham promised that our bins would be delivered asap. One arrived. Three are awaited. "It seems a shame to add unnecessary large bins to a streetscene if you can avoid them." We have an outside area at the side of the property hidden by shrubs where the bins can be kept, so they will not impact on the street scene. The problem with four households trying to share bins is what happens if one brings out a bag to put in the bin and finds it is already full of another household's rubbish. Personally I don't waste food so have no need for a food waste bin. I have no intention of auditing my neighbours disposal habits, but we all make use of the newspaper and plastic recycling bags and the green bins. |
