'Can anyone explain exactly HOW wheelie bins are supposed to increase recycling?' They create a limit that each household can put in general waste each week therefore creating an incentive for more waste to be put in recycling. There are some good reasons for introducing wheelie bins and you are wrong when you say that nobody welcomes them. Many people were already using them even before the Council made them mandatory. By railing against the idea of wheelie bins in general you are getting away from the key point which is that they are being introduced in some streets for which they are clearly inappropriate. Calling people at the Council dishonest and profligate is likely to rule out any chance that officers will revisit the issue . |
