At the last meeting of the Gunnersbury Station Action Team, which took place before Cllr Cadbury’s press release, it was stated by the Business Park people that the construction of the bridge is being held up due to a disagreement between Ealing Council and the developers about maintenance costs. Ealing Council have requested that the developers pay the total costs for maintenance of the bridge now rather than in instalments. The original s106 agreement – put in place by Hounslow Council – did not state who would be responsible for maintaining the bridge once construction has been completed! Mary Macleod, who brought the Gunnersbury Station Action Team together, agreed to call for a meeting between LBH, Ealing Council and developers to bang some heads together. All of which perhaps makes Cllr Cadbury’s press release a bit, misleading? |
