| Averse as I am to getting involved in local politics, this thread all seems much ado about nothing in my view. Prospective MP issues press release which, taken at face value, seems to be intended to give all relevant parties a kick up the backside to try to resolve a problem. Mary McLeod has done exactly the same thing both prior to and since becoming an MP, so iasn't it hypocritical to criticise ?. Especially given Mary McLeod's public support for Maria Miller when Mary herself was almost certainly partly elected due to the electorate's unhappiness with the conduct of Ann Keen in respect of parliamentary expenses. So much hypocrisy no matter what political colour...that's why I don't vote. |
