The police will have put the issue out as they see a problem from time to time and not put out to stop cyclists because someone has made a complaint. I also very doubt the PCSO is standing around waiting for a cyclist. The police are just making it more in the public domain that if you cycle on the pavement you will be stopped if seen by a police officer. The PCSO in question is named as it's his patch to patrol. But does not mean he is always going to be on CHR and not Purposely patroling for law breaking cyclists. Do adults cycle on the pavement ? Along with delivery drivers yes, they sometimes do. And yes, from time to time I see adults cycling on the pavement of all ages. So if you read or are told about this then you need to take it onboard you could be stopped and given a fixed penalty notice. |
