| Really sad news - he lived a good life. Ownership of London Irish is apparently held by a consortium which includes Bobby Skinstad and Andrew Mehrtens as well as an investment fund so the project doesn't die with him. Another development this week is the RFU's rejection of Ealing and Coventry's bid to enter the Premiership particularly galling for Ealing given their league position. On the face of it, a ground share with either Brentford or Harlequins would have got round this but it obviously isn't as simple as that. The RFU seems to be insisting on clubs developing their own facilities which begs the question how do London Irish think they could be in the Premiership in 2026. |
