Like you I had been to Irish games at the Stoop during this period and it had completely slipped my mind that they were effectively home fixtures. If Brentford aren't keen on renewing the partnership, then this would be a very good alternative. One caveat though is that looking at the clubs likely to come up from the Championship, particularly Leeds, the assumption that promoted teams will get relegated that has held for the last few years, won't necessarily apply next season. If at the same time Brentford have had to sell Thiago and Wissa, then they may have to rely on Thiago and Carvalho for goals. Although this article below is a statement of the blindingly obvious, it is a reminder that success isn't guaranteed. |
