Have to admit being a bit perplexed at his line of questioning. Perhaps another way to look at this is to remember if London Irish to want to return to professional rugby they must have a ground with a capacity of over 10,000. If they want to be in west London that leaves them with three potential options — GTech, Craven Cottage and Loftus Road. The feeling appears to be that the Loftus Road pitch is too small so really there are just too options. It seems to me unlikely that Jordan wouldn't have sounded out both Fulham and Brentford about ground availability before announcing the takeover plans. Presumably he has investors who would need to see some sort of feasibility study before committing capital. If they had received a hard no from both clubs then the plan would be dead in the water. |
