Peter's figure was for the ground rent for London Irish and didn't include share of ticket sales and F&B. I've no reason to doubt its accuracy but he never claimed it was the total revenue. I assumed around £100,000 revenue per game for the women's Euros fixtures and subtracted it from the £2.9million figure given in the accounts report. Yes it is an estimate but I tried hard to not overstate what the revenue attributable to Irish might be. The way the report is worded it indicates that the total is split between rugby and women's football. I've assumed a similar income per game for both with 23 rugby fixtures during the accounting period. This was deliberately conservative as F&B would be much higher and the assumption is that 100% of that goes to BFC. I've double checked and UEFA had control of ticketing for the 2022 Euros as they do for all of their tournaments. My recollection was that you had to go to a UEFA web site to get tickets but the FA may have taken a big allocation and redistributed them which would explain why they were difficult to purchase. I think a guesstimate of about £2mn+ revenue per annum has some basis to it but happy for you to quibble on the detail once you have got the basic facts straight. |
