| "At one point in my career I lived at Shepherd's Bush and worked just off Oxford Street. My commute took me along Oxford Street, onto N Carriage Drive in Hyde Park, onto the Bayswater Road, Nottinghill Gate, Holland Park Avenue and home. Three boroughs, Westminster, K&C, H&F. Why should only K&C residents be able to pronounce on the proposed cycle route there and put the safety of those living and working in other boroughs at risk? Cross-boundary cycleways, like many roads, should be the object of London-wide consideration." Well put. When I worked in the centre of London, I used to cycle through 3 or 4 boroughs. This kind of planning has to be London wide, and councils like K&C, and Westminster need to be overruled. |
