| That post has a lot of misinformation and mistakes, certainly regarding modelling, collision statistics and route selection. The point is the person could have raised those questions during the consultation. The consultation didn’t have a support/oppose question precisely so it was treated as a consultation to collect feedback, not a referendum. The response in the consultation is just free text. I will speculate that would have given RBKC a problem. For example, all the responses saying “It will cause POLLUTION!” would be grouped together and TfL response would be “No it won’t” with lots of scientific evidence. Same would apply to a lot of the other hyperbolic objections people had. RBKC would then have the challenge of explaining to those residents, well, errr... it doesn’t look like your objection stands up.... I’m speculating they saw this as too much of a challenge so pulled the plug on their section of the route. |
