| It was very heartening to see in this week's newsletter that some solid progress is finally being made in improving the neglected section of Chiswick High Road opposite the Church on Turnham Green. I presume we have the recently formed Chiswick Task Force to thank in part as well as local councillors, particularly Joanna Biddolph who seems to have been very tenacious on the matter. Not forgetting of course Mike Abbott whose photos highlighted what was happening and the ChiswickW4.com editor who has never been prepared to give up highlighting what Lendlease has done. The plans for what appears to be a permanent business rather than a pop up in the old Valentina site might mean that Lendlease has finally given up on developing the site and so has no need to keep these units empty. However one local trader told me that the Valentina site wasn't owned by Lend Lease and that is why businesses have continued to operate there. Does anybody know for sure what the ownership of these units is? |
