| Yes, Lendlease should have been keeping it tidy anyway and the people we met acknowledged that and will be running a weekly check and tidy up of the whole area for which Lendlease is responsible. We had an expansive discussion and everything must be seen in the context of the fact that, as you can see from walking past and as has been covered by chiswickw4.com, Empire House is for sale so the length of any short term rents will be determined by that process. They have taken on board all our suggestions and emphasised that they are particularly concerned to bring footfall to the area to benefit nearby businesses and revitalise the High Road for as long as they continue to own the building. Their motive, as they made clear, is not income for them; it's bringing life back to that stretch of the High Road. |
