| I doubt that Adam is right to blame Lendlease’s attitude towards Chiswick on the Empire House JR. They easily avoided it anyhow by simply re-submitting the planning application with a tiny change. The cost of the JR must have been trivial compared to the rumoured £54 million they paid for the site, and for them must have been a minor irritation. They seem to have form as a developer that er... works well with local communities – see for instance their development at Elephant & Castle (eg. http://35percent.org/2016-03-19-lend-lease-says-jump-southwark-jumps/).
