The owners believe that they are only in a conservation area because they front on to Chiswick Mall (Joy's post of 12/11/12 13:16), so they think it doesn't really matter what they do at the side. In fact the conservation area around Chiswick Lane South includes all properties between the A4 and the river. The wall opposite the solar panels, the "blank warehouse wall" as Joy calls it, is itself within the conservation area, and its dignified brickwork doesn't deserve to have this ugly patchwork of panels opposite. |
