"The Council do not treat this street - Chiswick Lane South - as if it were part of a Conservation Area at all." But neither do you. There have been several proposed or actual developments of Heron House that have flouted either the principles of a conservation area or the need to obtain planning permission before making changes (or in some cases both). There was the proposal to turn part of the house into a restaurant, the obtrusive external lift shaft, and the roof terrace that was enclosed without planning permission. The roof terrace would of course have been the perfect place to erect solar panels, but you chose instead to stick them on the walls, where in my view, based on Michael's helpful photo, they are a visual disaster. |
