Topic: We can't spend our way out of a recession

as advocated by the Socialists. And it was overspending by the Socialists that got us into the mess we found ourselves in 2010 when we voted them out.

The paralysis and problems in the Eurozone threatens our export of goods and services and will lead to the importation of both people and goods and services fleeing the Eurozone. There are over 400,000 French people already in the UK and every day we hear and see more and more economic refugees from Spain, Greece, Portugal and Ireland.

Government expenditure has to be cut more ruthlessly than at present under the mamby pamby Liberal Conservative Coalition. Taxes have to be cut to encourage enterprise, employment and spending. Red tape has to be abolished to encourage job and wealth creation by Small and Medium Enterprises (SME's). Silly European directives such as the Agency Workers Regulations have to be rejected and repealed.

We have to export more goods and services and emulate the French who have negotiated all sorts of preferential trade agreements with their former colonies by concentrating more on trade links with the Commonwealth such as India and the rest of the English speaking world.

The Foreign Office needs to employ more people with private sector and business experience to promote British exports.

We should buy British goods and services where possible. We should emulate the Italians who equip their police forces and other public sector organisations with Italain made vehicles only. Why do our police have to drive BMW's when they could have British made Jaguars, Vauxhalls, Minis, Toyotas, Hondas and Nissans ?

We do need to move more government departments out of London to reduce the cost running the government and to free up housing and other resources for the productive, wealth creating secotors of the economy.

We do need a more radical approach than at present. However that is probably impossible until the Coalition ends because the social democratic Liberal Democrat tail is constantly wagging the Conservative bulldog. And too many Conservative MP's are not really Conservatives at all.
