| Jayne does like to go on and on about tax and how it’s the highest it’s been ( as a %age of GDP for 80 years). I can’t remember her going on about tax so much when the previous government was in power, and tax then was also the highest it had been since WW2 (since eclipsed by our current government I agree). Maybe there is some magical trigger point at which Jayne starts to grumble repeatedly about the level of tax. Incidentally, the level of Tax is higher in Norway than the UK. That’s partly due to Norway investing their North Sea revenues in the Norwegian Sovereign fund, rather than using it to fund Tax Cuts like the UK did. |
