Hi All, Today, a labour candidate rang my doorbell asking to be let in to my block of flats. I refused to open the door unless she was here to see someone specifically. She lied and said Flat 17, as when I asked for a name, she just asked me to I let her in again. As each flat has it's own buzzer, I believe it is up to each flat if they wanted to talk to her. At this point she "gave up" and said it was her legal right to post leaflets and we don't have a postbox on the main door. So as a gullible idiot, I agreed I would let her in ONLY to use the letterboxes inside. She then spent the next 20 minutes going door to door inside my block. I now feel stupid and ashamed for giving up my neighbours rights to privacy. Is this behaviour ok? |
