| I'd say the overwhelming majority of people I meet on the doorstep are OK or better (less so, but still generally positive, during a campaign when you're more likely to get 'you only call when you want my vote') I take Adam's point though. I live in a similar development and it's almost unknown to get a door knock and disconcerting when you do. Even so (and I would always state my purpose when seeking admission to a block) people are much more often pleased than displeased. You pick up concerns that you would not hear of by any other means. |
