I know it was some years ago I was on the treadmill - but without parties/people being nasty, canvassing was always full of these sorts of things. Taking other party's leaflets out of letterboxes if they didn't push them through properly was a favourite, and yes you could also get heckled at times. What a precious lot we seem to have this time around, one from Labour virtually accusing me of trying to incite hatred? Now all this - surely it's the cut and thrust of politics? Let's face it it can be pretty boring and a turn-off for a lot of people most of the time, I can't believe people are so wussy. What sort of representatives will they make if they wilt at these antics? |
