All households have to be provided with recycling facilities by law. Blocks of flats have communal recycling bins for basics and flats over shops have clear sacks for basics and purple sacks for "other". There are far more purple sacks than clear piled up in the streets today. It is not the councils fault that the population is increasing but it us their fault if they aren't doing enough to increase recycling. It is unlikely that supplying us all with wheelie bins will make enough difference. It certainly won't with blocks of flats and flats over shops. |
